Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 route (N73 - 2ZPF)
Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 School Direct route (1NB - 2C4K)

North Tyneside SCITT is delighted to continue its close collaboration with the New York Teaching School Alliance. For 2021-2022 the North Tyneside SCITT has a number of additional places in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 via our School Direct alliance. A small number of non-salaried School Direct places are available via New York Primary School UCAS ref no. 1NB. Successful School Direct applicants will receive school and centre based training through North Tyneside SCITT.
Due to the current climate successful applicants will be invited to attend an interview via Microsoft Teams. During the interview process candidates will receive further information about the course. Candidates will also be required to undertake a series of short tasks and a formal interview. School staff and SCITT tutors are members of the interviewing panel.
Trainees must be prepared to demonstrate their own suitability for an offer of a place. Interview results are communicated as soon as possible after the interview takes place but any offer of acceptance of a place is conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory references, medical report and police clearance.
The course tuition fee for the 2021-2022 course will be £9,250. There is no training bursary award for Primary ITT courses for 2021-2022.
Student loans to cover the tuition fee as well as additional funding are available from Student Finance England. This easy-to-use resource includes tools to estimate any grants and calculate loan repayments.
